Format as Table

Do yourself (and others using your documents) a favor and take advantage of Excel's "Format as Table" if you're not already doing so. It's similar to naming a range.

There are a host of features more easily accessible once you format data as a Table.

There are tricks (some more laborious than others) that only Office gurus know which make documents stand out. However, Office products are increasingly making it easier for casual users to get the same results, and formatting data as a Table is one of them.

Note: Not all columns will format into a table without requiring changes (such as having a unique name for each column heading). However, the formatting effort is worth the time.
